Our guide was Mutsue Nagahiro, a lady with sense of humor, nice, interesting, and friendly. She was trying to understand our needs and all the silly questions from us. We really enjoy sightseeing with Mutsue, because she gives us a lot of information regarding our point of interest, about life and culture of Japan. Mutsue contacted us well before we arrived with some proposals for the tour, and when we met up, she gave us a detailed itinerary for the day so we’ now what to expect. She arranged our tea time in a traditional cafe in Hama Rikyu gardens where we can experience great tradition and the moment in tour. Mutsue guided us along the different routes so we had a chance to see many shrines and temples. On the tour he was great at explaining both the historic significance of the sites and aspects of modern Japanese culture. We wish we could spend another day with Mutsue and ask her to go with us in Kamakura. She spends one extra day with us and we are grateful because without her we will be lost. We had a wonderful time with our guide Junko, she made it possible to join a zen-meditation at a beautiful modern temple. And showed us how to ‘slurp’ noodles. It was nice to talk about Japanese life.
